This microphone is acoustically identical to the 4060 omnidirectional, normal SPL miniature microphone. The difference is in its sensitivity, which is designed for higher sound pressure levels (SPL).The 4061 Omnidirectional High SPL Miniature Microphone can handle SPLs up to 144 dB peak before clipping. This makes it one of the best minis for very loud sound sources, such as certain instruments and human voices.By comparison, the 4061 is about 10 dB less sensitive than the 4060.
