Reflective Aluminium Signage 4.1m Height Size : 600x600mm x 1.5mm Description: High-Visibility Reflective Aluminium SignageThis is a robust, single-panel sign system engineered for maximum visibility and durability in all-weather, outdoor environments. It combines a standard-sized regulatory or informational sign face with an exceptionally tall mounting structure to ensure it is seen over obstructions and from long distances.1. The Sign Panel (Face)A. Dimensions and ShapeSize: 600\text{mm} \times 600\text{mm} (Approximately 23.6 x 23.6 inches).Format: Square, although the sign's graphic content may dictate a different effective shape (e.g., a diamond for a warning sign, a circle for a regulatory sign, or an octagon for a stop sign, all contained within the 600x600mm panel).B. Substrate MaterialType: High-quality Aluminium Alloy (e.g., 5052-H38 or similar structural grade), typically with a thickness between 1.6mm and 3.2mm (0.063" to 0.125").Properties: Chosen for its exceptional corrosion resistance (will not rust), lightweight nature for easier handling and lower wind load, and its inherent durability to resist warping, cracking, and damage from impacts or harsh weather (UV, rain, snow, temperature extremes). Construction: The aluminium substrate is often pre-treated (degreased and etched) to ensure maximum adhesion of the reflective sheeting. Edges are deburred and sometimes rounded for safety.C. Reflective Sheeting (Sign Face Material)Purpose: The critical component that provides retro-reflectivity, meaning it efficiently reflects light directly back to its source (e.g., vehicle headlights), making the sign visible at night or in low-light conditions. Type/Grade: Depending on regulatory requirements or specific visibility needs, the sign utilizes one of the following ASTM types:Engineer Grade (Type I): Lowest intensity, typically for low-speed/non-critical areas. Uses enclosed lens glass bead technology. High-Intensity Prismatic (Type III or IV): Medium-to-high intensity, using microprismatic technology. Standard for many high-speed roadways.Diamond Grade (Type VIII, IX, or XI): Highest performance, using full-cube microprismatic technology for superior brightness and wide-angle visibility, ideal for high-risk or complex traffic areas.Colour & Graphics: The reflective sheeting forms the background and/or the legends/symbols. Graphics are applied using screen-printing, digital printing with UV-cured inks, or cut-out opaque/translucent films, all ensuring high contrast and adherence to relevant standards (e.g., MUTCD).2. The Mounting System (Overall Height)A. Total Height SpecificationOverall Height: 4.1 meters (4100mm) from the base/ground level to the top edge of the sign panel. This is an unusually tall installation, far exceeding standard regulatory mounting heights (which are typically 2.1m to 2.4m in most countries).B. Implication of 4.1m HeightThe significant height suggests the sign is designed for one or more of the following critical applications:Overhead Clearance: Positioning the sign over a travel lane (though 600x600mm is small for a true overhead gantry sign, this height would clear most commercial vehicles).Obstruction Clearance: Ensuring the sign is visible above vegetation, walls, stored materials, large trucks, or visual clutter in a complex environment (e.g., port, warehouse yard, or industrial park).Maximum Sight Distance: Placing the sign in the driver's direct field of view for long-range visibility on high-speed roads.C. Sign Post (Support Structure)Material: Must be a high-strength, durable material such as Galvanized Steel (for rust protection) or Structural Aluminium profile.Type: A single Tubular Steel Post (Circular Hollow Section or Square Hollow Section) or a U-Channel/I-Beam Post would be used, engineered to withstand significant wind load (especially at this height), as well as potential minor impacts.Installation: The post would require a substantial foundation, likely a deep concrete footing with anchor bolts to prevent tipping or swaying under wind stress due to the large 4.1m cantilevered structure.3. Key Functional and Operational FeaturesWeatherproof Integrity: The combination of corrosion-resistant aluminium, high-performance reflective sheeting, and galvanized steel post ensures the entire system is waterproof and resistant to rust, UV degradation, and fading.Low Maintenance: Requires only periodic cleaning to remove grime that may reduce reflectivity. The long lifespan of the materials minimizes replacement costs. Compliance & Safety: For regulatory signage, the materials and reflectivity level must comply with national/local standards (e.g., ASTM, EN standards, or specific Department of Transportation specifications) to ensure legal enforceability and maximum road user safety. Wind Load Resistance: The post and its connections are specifically designed for the dynamic forces generated by a 0.36m² sign face at an extended height of 4.1m, providing structural stability. In summary, this 4.1m high, 600x600mm Reflective Aluminium Signage is a specialty safety and guidance system designed to provide uncompromised visibility and structural permanence in challenging or high-traffic operational environments where conventional mounting heights are insufficient.
