It's no exaggeration to say that the DI determines whether a bass sound is enhanced or not. TDC's BASS DI was developed in response to the needs of recording engineers. To achieve a sound more suited to bass recording, we repeatedly tested it against many DIs previously used with SSL consoles, striving for a better sound. We developed this BASS DI, combining a buffer and transformer for superior low-frequency sound quality and distortion characteristics. Unlike the wild impression of the previous model with exposed metal, this model has a cool and manly finish. This is the brand's first original model. Turning up the gain knob produces a pleasant distortion that approaches the texture obtained from the head of a large console, creating a sound full of vintage feel. ◆ XLR terminal for outputting the original sound quality of the bass Equipped with an XLR terminal that enables high-resolution output. It enhances the sound quality of line recordings while adding the charm of BASS DI without compromising the original sound quality of the instrument. ◆ The XLR output stage uses a carefully selected matching transformer in a permalloy case.In order to drive the transformer with ample capacity, the germanium transistors used in other models have been made larger, resulting in a unique vintage feel while still providing good sound projection.
