As soon as I saw this amazing piece from a very famous designer, I had to have it! It's so pretty in real life; the photo doesn't do it justice. It's an all-cotton shirting weight with a black, red, white and ivory checker pattern that has a delicate, fresh, super modern look. It's not a print---rather it's a yarn-dyed clipped weave that alternates black and red checkers with white (yes white--although it looks discolored in the photo, it's not) and ivory checkers. It has an 8" repeat. There are some longer "floaters" on the back so a very light lining such as cotton batiste or silk habotai may be desired. It has a soft, cottony drape, it's lightweight and a bit translucent. Perfect for a beautiful summer blouse, shirt, tunic, top, dress or skirt.
