The Oloroso sherry variety is a fortified white wine from Andalusia. It leaves behind wonderful notes of fruit and wood in its ageing casks (450–500 litres). The SLYRS Bavarian sin gle malt refilled into these casks then has roughly a year to absorb these flavours from the wood. Oloroso sherry is a very dry variety that gives the whisky subtle leathery and earthy notes. This unique spirit reveals its flavour to greatest effect when sampled and drunk just below room temperature. 70CL • 46%ABV Show more
