A straight-up banger of a rosé from one of Chinon's most respected estates, an annual Flatiron favorite. Olga Raffault is best known for serious, long-lived red Chinon, but their r osé is their most joyful wine, and it punches well above the category. The Cabernet Franc comes from sand and gravel soils, which give it tons of accessible juiciness and a crunchy bite of minerality. It's very aromatic on the nose and beautifully fresh on the palate, with pretty fruit and hints of stone and herbs, plus a finish that's long and refined. Delicious enough for a sunny Sunday afternoon but complex enough to elevate a meal, made by an estate where careful, skillful farming is inherent to every vintage. Show more
