This pair of Southwest Speed Performance Long Headers offer an immediate increase in performance by eliminating backpressure, improving exhaust flow, and building more horsepower. The consistent tubing diameter contributes to the smooth air flow and greater exhaust velocity of these headers. These headers are a direct replacement for 1964-1977 Chevelle & Monte Carlo, 1967-1981 Camaro, 1968-1979 Nova, and 1965-1989 Full Size GM Passenger Cars with SBC 262-400 Cu. In. Engines. These headers are ground parallel with .380" flanges on the cylinder head surface, and feature 1 1/2" Primary tubes with 2 1/2" collectors, complete with header bolts and gaskets and reducer bolts and gaskets. Installation on vehicles 1978 and earlier with air conditioning will require purchase of SWS # 410-5815 bracket. 1979 and later vehicles equipped with short compressor will re-use the original bracket. Must modify lower A-Arm support bracket on 1979-1981 models. Will not fit angle plug heads. This can be polished out when utilizing Blue-away or Simi-chrome polish, but please note that when the headers reach running temperature, they may change color again. In the event you order a header that will not fit your vehicle and application, you may return them for a refund, providing you don't damage the header. If you bend or dimple any of the tubes or scratch the finish, we will not be able to sell the header and will not be able to process a refund. Use care when trial fitting headers. Repack them well to prevent damage returning them to us. We won't process refunds for scratched, dimpled, dented, or bent headers.
