Brand New Pair of Southwest Speed Flat Black Chassis Headers for 1955-1957 Big Block Chevrolet with 396-502 Cu. In. Engines (Part #440-2373). This Pair of Southwest Speed Big Block Chevy Chassis Headers are a must for any 1955-1957 Chevy with a Big Block Chevy Engine Swap. The OEM bell housing frame mounts must be removed, and Southwest Speed side engine mounts, & automatic rear transmission crossmember must be installed for header clearance. These headers are Ground parallel with .380" flanges on the cylinder head surface, and feature 1-7/8" Primary tubes with 3" collectors, complete with header bolts and gaskets and reducer bolts and gaskets. Includes a pair of 3" to 2 1/2" reducers to complete the installation. These headers do not fit angle-plug heads. Applications: Chevy with BBC 396-502 Cu. In. These Headers are designed to fit cars using original GM # 3719487 V-8 manual pitman arm, and will not fit GM # 3709877 6 cylinder pitman arm number. It will generally dull even more when the engine is started. The header paint will smoke and let off an odor the first few times the engine is up to temperature and the black finish will become duller turning closer to gray in color. If exhaust temperatures are extreme at start the paint will blister and peel. There is no warranty on header paint. Header Return Policy: Please refer to the header measurement chart below to make sure the header will fit your vehicle and application before ordering. In the event you order a header that will not fit your vehicle and application, you may return them for a refund, providing you don't damage the header. When you receive the header the finish will be protected and must remain unscratched for a refund. If you bend or dimple any of the tubes or scratch the finish, we will not be able to sell the header and will not be able to process a refund. Use care when trial fitting headers. Repack them well to prevent damage returning them to us. We won't process refunds for scratched, dimpled, dented, or bent headers.
