Less flex in the selector rod means a more precise shift. The OEM selector could flex and twist a lot reducing the precision of the shift when selecting a gear. Paired with Turner's short shift kit, the shifts are even more accurate and precise with little to no increase in effort. This DSSR is meant for BMW E46 328i/Ci or 330i/Ci models that have the selector rod 25111434116 or 25111434673 and selector joint 25117580281 . Even after a shifter rebuild or installation, some slop can often still be felt in the shifter. The shift selector rod may deflect and cause shifter slop.
