Made from traditional kaya fabric woven in Nara Prefecture, this version is larger than our best-selling KAYA dish cloth and closer in size to a Japanese kitchen towel, often called a fukin. Measuring approximately 11.8 inches by 15.7 inches, it offers more coverage and is ideal for wiping larger surfaces, cleaning the microwave, drying hands, or handling everyday kitchen tasks that need a little extra space. At first use, simply rinse with warm water. The fabric quickly softens and becomes fluffy, while the five-ply layered weave stays breathable and quick-drying for hygienic daily use. Woven with rayon yarn inside, these towels absorb about 1.3 times more water than cotton and resist oil stains, making grease and residue easy to wipe away.
