Crafted from sonically superior American ash, they are precisely glued together to ensure no visible seams. The heads are made from selected rawhide and come in a standard 7-1/4" and 8-5/8" combination. They offer exceptional clarity and a powerful sound, with particularly impressive high-pitched projection. Additionally, the shells are reinforced with a backing plate to prevent cracks caused by salsa players dropping the bongos on the floor. The 5/16" diameter tuning lugs, combined with the aluminum die-cast hardware at the base, provide stability and airworthiness during playing. The shell is wrapped around the instrument for comfortable playing. The LP Comfort Curve II rim provides a comfortable playing experience.
