These candles are also topped with real foliage with hand stamped and vintage typewriter labels. Our everyday 16oz Candles all come in a solid, amber, glass jar with a matte black lid. Please see photos for reference. HOW TO USE#1 Tip: the very first time you burn any candle (not just our candles) you want to let it burn a long enough time to where the entire top layer of wax gets melty. This will soften the wax and will help you candle burn more evenly for the duration of your candle’s life. When caring properly for your candles, you will achieve three majorly important things: 1. A longer burn time (which is a money saver when you think about it).2. Ensured safety of your home and/or workspace (through a nice and controlled flame).3. A better performance all around (minimal to no sooting and excellent presence of aroma).Candle care simplified: always trim your wick 1/8" to 1/4" long prior to lighting. If flame is unusually large, blow out your candle, trim and light again immediately. Burn in 4-hour intervals only. Burning a candle for too little time will cause "tunneling" and burning your candle for too long is dangerous. Never leave a candle lit all day or overnight as this can cause your jar to crack wide open due to high temperatures and cause a house fire.
