Description The 5 gallon systems are cost-effective solutions for the proper disposal of sharps and bio hazardous waste. ⚠️ IMPORTANT: THIS SYSTEM IS NOT INTENDED FOR LOOSE SHARPS DISPOSAL.If you are looking for a system specifically designed for the disposal of loose sharps, please see our 2 Gallon Sharps Container option. ⚠️ This is not just a sharps container. Every PureWay system includes the container, return shipping, certified treatment, and eco-friendly destruction — all in one price. Fill it → Seal it → Send it back. We handle the rest. No drop-offs. No guessing local rules. No separate disposal fees. Who This Size Is Ideal For (Commercial Use) The 5-gallon sharps system is a mid-volume solution. It is best for facilities that generate sharps consistently throughout the week but don’t produce large procedure-room volumes every day. It’s commonly used where staff need fewer change-outs than small containers, while still keeping containers portable and point-of-use friendly. Ideal for: Primary care and family medicine practices Urgent care centers with moderate patient flow Specialty clinics (allergy, dermatology, endocrinology, rheumatology) Med spas performing routine injections (Botox, fillers, PRP) Physical therapy and sports medicine clinics doing occasional injections Small veterinary clinics Dialysis and infusion satellite locations (low-chair count) Occupational health / employee health departments School or university health clinics Why they choose this size:It balances capacity and convenience; it's large enough to avoid constant replacement, but small enough to keep in exam rooms or treatment areas without becoming bulky or heavy for staff to handle. Most facilities use the 5-gallon when they fill 1–3 gallon containers too quickly, but don’t generate enough waste to justify a bulk (8–18 gallon) accumulation container. Never Run Out AgainSet it and forget it; we’ll make sure you’re always prepared. Save 5% when you subscribe — the smarter, easier way to handle your home medical waste. Your replacement system ships automatically based on your selected schedule so you always have a compliant disposal solution ready.
