A lot of five natural Thai ruby round cabochons, totaling 0.32ct, individual stones ranging 1.8 to 2.2mm in diameter. Small, smooth-domed cabochons with the deep red colour charact eristic of Thai-origin material - heat treated as standard, the stones show semi-transparent red through each polished dome. Thailand, particularly the Chanthaburi and Kanchanaburi regions, was historically a major ruby-producing area and one of the first commercially significant sources for heated ruby in the global gemstone trade. Thai rubies tend toward darker, more saturated reds.
