A CTS 500K linear-taper potentiometer with a short-length bushing, sized for standard humbucker-equipped electric guitars where the control cavity or top routing is on the shallow side. CTS pots are the reference-standard replacement for the great majority of USA-built and vintage-correct wiring looms, and the split-shaft accepts standard imperial fine-knurl push-on knobs. 500K is the classic humbucker load for both volume and tone. Linear taper is the right choice for tone controls, where a smooth top-end roll-off matters more than the perceived audio taper you would want on a volume pot. Pair with 500K audio-taper pots for volume and either a 0.022uF or 0.047uF tone cap to taste. Sold as a single.
