The Prestige replaces the discontinued Mr. Magic pedal. From buffer to boost to tone enhancer, the Prestige proves to be a necessary and essential piece of gear in any setup. With the Boost knob at zero, it can be used as a buffer/enhancer, easily eliminating the tonal degradation caused by long cable runs. At 25%, the Boost knob not only provides a different tonal nuance as a buffer/enhancer, but also slightly increases volume. Setting the Boost knob between 25% and 50% produces a crisp, clear sound, enabling powerful, dynamic solos. Above 50%, the Prestige breaks up a tube amp's preamp, creating a smooth, natural tube overdrive. Increasing the volume range to the final 25% further increases the preamp's input, resulting in ample sustain and breakup, and, depending on the amp, a smooth, warm, and fuzzy sound.
