From a NY designer, this is an Italian 'slatted' weave fabric (meaning it has a pattern of solid textured areas with sheer slats of nylon), is a yarn-dyed dress/jacket weight, semi -sheer, with a more firm drape and a stripey pattern that has a 20" repeat. The colors are black, silvery white, jade and dark navy (PANTONE 15-5519, 19-3935, etc.) and it is perfect for a pretty dress, skirt or jacket that can be dressed up or down! Lining or layering may be needed. Dry cleaning is probably best. The silk content is minimal but it's there.
