Just in from a CA company and made in Italy, this is a fabulous 2-ply matelasse' knit with a bricklayer pattern and a quilted look, nicely textured and so soft, with some cushionin g between the layers. The color is a creamy ivory. It is medium weight and opaque with a soft drape that has a bit of body. It has about 20% stretch widthwise and lengthwise, but is quite stable, making it a versatile weight perfect for an upscale hoodie, indoor or outdoor jacket, fitted skirt, vest, or use as a casual coat lining for extra insulation and comfort.
