The Artisan Mouthpiece was inspired by the success of the Artisan Trumpet, which was developed based on a design from the 1920s. The shape, tone, and response of Artisan mouthpiece s are reminiscent of early mouthpieces. The trumpet is modeled after an early 1920s design, while the cornet is modeled after a mid-1950s model, which was Vincent Bach's personal favorite.
