Core Plug seals a casting aperture in the cylinder block or head of the 2.25L and 2.5L four-cylinder petrol engines. Also known as an expansion or freeze plug, it closes the holes left in the casting after the sand cores are removed during manufacture, sealing the surrounding coolant galleries. Renew when a plug corrodes or weeps, or as a matter of course during an engine rebuild. Show more
