SCHILKE MOST Series (Signature Series) Cornet Shank Piccolo Trumpet Mouthpiece Founder Renold O. Schilke was a successful trumpeter with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra and the WGN Radio Orchestra, among others. He was a talented performer, but he also made mouthpieces and tuned instruments during his playing days. While active as a top player, he also taught at Northwestern University, DePaul University, Roosevelt University, and other institutions. From his experiences in the educational field, he realized the need for mouthpieces that suited the player, and his involvement in their production was the beginning of today's Silky. This mouthpiece was developed with the involvement of MOST series Silky Players Atsushi Takahashi, principal trumpeter of the Tokyo Metropolitan Symphony Orchestra, and Toshio Tanaka, trumpeter of the Yomiuri Nippon Symphony Orchestra, and was completed after extensive research and testing. It has been designed with a thorough focus on smooth breath flow, mobility, and flexibility, allowing for rich musical expression with beautiful tone across all ranges.・MOST 5P Inner diameter: 17.13mm Throat / #27 A medium-sized piccolo trumpet mouthpiece with a wide, rounded rim.
