For the serious but value-conscious fisherman, we are excited to introduce the new MotorGuide X3 55 Saltwater Digital Hand Control trolling motor featuring variable speed control. The X3 Digital is a sturdy, no-frills, foot-controlled motor that offers a number of innovations, including best-in-class steering performance and a large diameter corrosion-resistant shaft with construction that provides greater impact protection and is backed by a lifetime factory warranty. The X3 55 SW Hand Control includes a new, aircraft-grade, extruded aluminum mounting bracket built tough to minimize flex and deliver precision control under high-thrust. Split Recommended for: Small to medium sized freshwater v-hull, pontoon, jon and general fishing boats up to 21'. The 55 lbs thrust motor is recommended for boats weighing up to 2,750 lbs. How It's Unique: The X3 Digital series is a step-up from the Freshwater series and the regular X3 in that it now features variable control. The X3 55SW Digital Hand Control is only available with 55 lbs of thrust. Water Type: Freshwater Only Shaft Length(s): The X3 Digital Hand Control is only available in 50" shaft length. (Learn about these features) Available Upgrades: No Split Mounting Details: This motor is bolted directly to the bow of the boat using the included mounting hardware, and requires drilling into the boat for installation. Ideally, it's best to have access to the underside of the mounting platform in order to secure and fasten the bolting hardware.
