"Fathom" is a compact reverb pedal with multiple functions that perfectly balances Walrus Audio's unique high-sense ideas with the finest audio quality. In addition to four refined algorithms, it is equipped with mod (modulation) and dampen (reverb reverberation tone) controls, and two soft-touch foot switches allow for one-action effects and long-sustain reverb decay, expanding the possibilities for new playing styles. From Hall & Plate, which is delicate and beautiful even at the end of its reverb, to Lo-Fi, which has both warm and cheap characteristics, to Sonar, a shimmer-type reverb whose majestic reverberation creates an overwhelming worldview, the reverb algorithms each have a distinctive personality and artistic sensibility, and are the result of Walrus Audio's cutting-edge technology. [FATHOM momentary function] ■ bypass Footswitch When the effect is off, you can press and hold the bypass switch to turn the effect on only while you are holding down the switch (the effect turns off when you release your foot). This allows you to apply the effect with a single action, for example, when you want to add reverb to just a part of a song, contributing to your unique playing style. ■ When the sustain footswitch effect is on, you can hold down the sustain footswitch to extend the reverb decay to its maximum. The reverb decay is extended only while you hold down the switch, sustaining and gradually decrescendoing, creating a beautiful, dreamy ambient effect. [FATHOM Controls] ●X The X knob sets different parameters for each mode. Hall - Pre-delay Plate - Pre-delay Lo-Fi - Filter width Sonar - Blend ratio between Lo and Hi octaves mod The mod switch has three levels of modulation. In Sonar mode, the LO position turns off the modulation effect. ●Program H (Hall), P (Plate), L (Lo-Fi), S (Sonar) mode ●decay Reverb Decay Time ●dampen Tunes the tone of the reverb decay. Clockwise rotation makes the tone darker, Counterclockwise makes the tone brighter. ●mix Adjusts the amount of reverb. Clockwise rotation increases the amount of reverb. At the 2 o'clock position, the ratio of original sound to reverb sound is 1:1. [FATHOM Trail Mode] The Smart Bypass feature allows you to select the reverb trail mode. Trails mode allows the reverb to decay naturally when the effect is turned off, while the other mode cuts off the reverb as soon as the effect is turned off. Press and hold the bypass switch while connecting the AC adapter for about two seconds to switch between bypass and trail modes. Repeating this action will toggle between the two bypass and trail modes. [FATHOM] Fathom is a unit of length used primarily to measure water depth, with 6 feet equaling 1.8 meters. As a verb, it can also mean "to explore, guess, or understand." The Walrus Audio Fathom features a deep-colored die-cast enclosure called "Arizona Teal" and original artwork by artist Stuart Dooley. The artwork depicts a lone submarine lost at the edge of the ocean, uncovering the origins of the deep-sea mystery "Julia." It's a concept illustration for Walrus Audio's chorus/vibrato pedal "JULIA."
