Unlike other microphones with backplate or electret designs, the sE2300 features a true externally polarized condenser capsule for maximum performance in every aspect. Three directivity patterns to choose from: The three-position directional switch on the back of the microphone lets you choose from omnidirectional, cardioid, and figure-8. Switchable attenuation level and low-cut filter The -10dB/-20dB switchable pad switch provides a wide dynamic range, allowing you to handle a wide range of sources including loud instruments such as heavy electric guitars, powerful brass, and heavy kick drums, as well as enabling close-mic techniques. The selectable 80Hz/160Hz low-cut filter reduces low-frequency rumble and unwanted foot noise, and helps balance excessive proximity effect when using close microphones. Custom-designed output transformer: Inheriting the spirit of classic studio microphones, the sE2300's custom transformer adds depth and persuasiveness to the overall sound image.
