[Cordovan Leather by ROCADO in Tuscany, Italy]This cordovan is made from horsehide tanned slowly with vegetable tannins, then the cordovan layer is scraped from within, resulting in a single-layer material with no grain surface. The dense fiber structure, polished one by one by artisans, gives it a distinctive charm that can only be experienced with cordovan's refined color and luster. The surface may show pinholes or cordovan-specific uneven waves, which are inevitable characteristics from the horse's sweat glands on its hindquarters.
