Original circa 1890 6.5" x 4.25" cabinet card showing a folding block for printing signs. The top shows the block in its closed position, the middle showing it open with the words, in reverse, visible, and the bottom is the sign it would produced. This printing invention was created by Edward A. Bishop of the Arc Printing Company out of Racine, Wisconsin. The back was produced blank but there is some period writing in pencil.. somebody wrote: "Buy the Strowbridge Seed Sower" "mfd by The S. Freeman & Sons Mfg Co Racine Wis". Cabinet card is in good antique condition overall with light wear and age-related soiling, etc. The bottom-left corner of the image is very slightly lifting from the mount but is stable and there is a vertical crease in the mount along the right side... not really noticeable when viewed on the front, and the crease is pretty firm and stable.
