James Hogg (1770-1835) was a Scottish author of novels, poems, and essays. He wrote in both Scots and English and is best known today as the author of the Gothic novel, The Private Memoirs and Confessions of a Justified Sinner. The volume on offer here is a collection of satirical poems that Hogg wrote about the great authors of British Romanticism, including one for himself.
