The Evans EC2 SST 6" Spock Marching Tenor Drumhead is built specifically for the smallest drum on marching quads and tenors, engineered to handle the tension and durability demands of any marching activity. Designed for use in marching band and drumline, this head delivers the focused, projecting sound that bands and corps rely on at both indoor and outdoor competitions. Two identical plies of 7mil film give the EC2 SST a total thickness of 14mil. The hoop is specially designed to withstand the high-tension requirements of marching percussion, and Evans Sound Shaping Technology (SST) controls overtones. The SST damping ring is size-specific, meaning Evans calibrates the damping pattern to the characteristics of each individual drum diameter. Rather than applying a uniform ring across all sizes, each head is engineered for its own size so that every drum in a set of marching quads or tenors produces its best sound.
