These wheels are manufactured to a 6" diameter and are meant to be used on smaller 5" and 6" variable speed grinders, such as those manufactured by DeWalt, Bosch, and Milwaukee. (NOTE: These flanges and wheels are not to be used with single-speed, high-RPM grinders.) The smaller construction of the wheels paired with the smaller machine make them ideal for use on more detailed projects and hard-to-reach areas where a conventional buffing wheel and machine setup are not ideal due to their size. The buffing wheel should be spinning at it’s normal speed and the Buffing Wheel Rake should be held securely when held up to a stationary bench grinder or lathe.
