Our intermediate throwing course is specifically designed for people who can already consistently create cylindrical forms and are can centre up to 2kg of clay. Each week will be solely focused on practising the same form with only 1 piece to be kept and fired. This will allow you to let go of expectation and remove the pressure of creating to keep, enabling you to immerse yourself into the process more freely. ✷ Week 1 & 2: Learning to throw Lidded Vessels. During these two weeks we will explore both gallery and flange lids ✷ Week 3: Learning to throw medium to large Jugs, pulling handles and attaching ✷ Week 4: Learning to create Medium to large Vases which will involve collaring, shaping and exploring different shapes ✷ Week 5 & 6: Learning medium and large Bowls allowing exploration into Japanese forms and contemporary shapes ✷ CATCH-UP SESSIONS AVAILABLE - we know life is hectic and so we offer 2 catch-up sessions for any dates missed due to prior commitments
