Moai are mana turned to stone. Each moai is associated with a clan and contains the spiritual powers that flow from their ancestors. The moai use mana to demarcate borders, protect the people from misfortune and bless the fields. Each piece makes the journey from dirt to final glaze in our Atlanta studio. Kahuna Tapu holds approximately 16oz of good mana. This piece is lead free and food safe but not microwave friendly, because of his 22K gold heart. Please wash by hand to ensure a long life!
