New clients are invited to book their first session as a two hour appointment. This initial visit is an investigative session, allowing us the time and space to begin understanding what your body may be asking for. The session begins with a brief intake, where you can share any health concerns, patterns, or physical discomfort you would like support with. From there, we begin to listen more closely to what the body is communicating. Assessment may include tools such as pulse reading, facial observation, and tongue diagnosis, alongside the hands-on work you will receive on the table. As with any session, treatments may incorporate supportive therapies such as medicated or essential oils, salt scrubs, cupping, gua sha, and other techniques when appropriate. Joya approaches the body with a down-to-earth, holistic perspective, often looking at imbalances through an elemental and Ayurvedic lens, seeking to restore circulation, vitality, and balance within the system. Bring your curiosity and openness. This work invites a deeper exploration of what may be held within the tissues of the body. Many clients leave their first session with a greater sense of spaciousness, ease, and renewed connection to their body.
