Evolved Microtubes When developing bass distortion, obtaining a punchy, aggressive sound while maintaining sound pressure is like fighting a contradiction. If you want tightness, you need to suppress the bass to prevent it from saturating, which often results in a light tone. However, boosting the low frequencies too much can lead to sound saturation. Microtubes X is the solution to this problem. First, the input signal is split into two signals by a low-pass filter and a high-pass filter that can be set arbitrarily. The signal that passes through the high-pass filter (sound containing only the mid- to high-range frequencies) is distorted by a CMOS circuit, just like other Microtubes pedals. The signal that passes through the low-pass filter (sound containing only the low-range frequencies) remains clean and untouched. By mixing the distorted high-range sound with rich harmonics with the clean low-range frequencies, you can create an aggressive distortion sound while maintaining a thick low range. Even when the strings are in poor condition or the instrument's tone is light or boomy, Microtubes X provides powerful tone control.・High-pass frequency: Sets the high-frequency range (cutoff frequency) to be distorted. You can set it anywhere from 100Hz (fuzz-like saturated sound) to 1kHz (sharp sound). Low-pass frequency: Sets the clean low frequency range (cutoff frequency) to be mixed with the distorted high frequency sound. Can be set anywhere from 50Hz (sub-bass only) to 500Hz. Level: Controls the overall volume. Drive: Controls the amount of distortion in the high-pass filtered signal. Mix: Controls the balance between the low-pass and high-pass filtered signals. Mids: Active mid control (+/-12dB @ 500Hz) located after the Mix control.Input: Phone jack Input impedance: 1MΩ Output: Phone jack Output impedance: 1MΩ 9VDC: Connector for connecting adapters and power supplies (center negative, 9V only) Current consumption: 30mA Size: 64mm x 111mm x 43mm Weight: 0.25Kg
