Allow the unit to cool before working near the engine, pulleys, or hydro drive components. Take a photo of the existing belt routing before removal. Inspect idler pulleys, tension springs, and pulley grooves while the belt is off. Replace any seized, noisy, grooved, or loose pulleys before installing the new belt. Make sure the belt is fully seated in all pulley grooves before starting the machine. After installation, run the mower at low speed and confirm the belt tracks correctly before returning to service.
