Mirror Black PVD Finish Mirror Stainless Steel is a reflective finish gained by Highly polishing the Stainless Steel to a Mirror Finish, the Stainless Steel can then be Coloured to Suit. How is Mirror Black PVD Made This finish is made by starting with a pre Mirror polished sheet of Stainless Steel, it is then coloured with a process called PVD (Physical Vapour Deposition) during this process Chromium Atoms are fired into the surface of the stainless with a particular process giving the Chromium a chance to change into a Black Colour before embedding into the Stainless Steel and becoming the new surface.
