The Flatiron Fuzz is a classic op-amp fuzz/distortion pedal, reinterpreted and refined by Electro-Harmonix in their own way, the RAT2 pedal, with its late '70s-style circuitry and symmetrical hard clipping. The Flatiron Fuzz is a very versatile pedal. At lower drive settings it adds a nice, mild distortion while still remaining slightly clean, while at higher drive settings it produces huge, thick tones that take you into the realm of arena rock. The Flatiron Fuzz's superior sound comes from its classic late '70s circuitry and the symmetrical hard clipping it delivers. Even when compared to the old Rat pedal, the Flatiron is the obvious choice. The Flatiron Fuzz features three controls: Volume, Drive, and Filter. Volume sets the output level, while Drive adjusts the amount of sustain and distortion. The unique Filter control is a low-pass filter that changes the cutoff frequency, allowing you to fine-tune the amount of high end, from dark tones to dirty sounds. This is a very cool control. The Flatiron Fuzz is named after New York City's historic Flatiron Building, an iconic landmark located just steps away from EHX headquarters in the 1970s, and the building depicted on the pedal. *RAT2 is a registered trademark of Act Audio.
