The all-new, custom-designed DMC7 SB capsule features an innovative, special aluminum voice coil and shares the same technology and features as its acclaimed siblings, the V7 and V7 X. While the V7 X is optimized for many other instruments, the V KICK capsule is customized for a lower, louder tone. Aluminum is significantly lighter than the industry-standard copper, delivering an open, transient-rich sound with excellent low-end energy and punch. The midrange is also exceptionally well-balanced, supporting the natural resonance of percussion instruments. This sophisticated capsule offers excellent off-axis rejection, effectively reducing bleed from surrounding sources such as snares, toms, and hi-hats, while its supercardioid pattern makes it easy to tailor the bottom end by adjusting the proximity effect - that is, by adjusting the distance from the source.
