★Inline booster for ribbon and dynamic microphones The dBooster is an in-line booster for ribbon and dynamic microphones. It has two gain settings, 12dB and 20dB, allowing you to dial in the gain that's right for a variety of voices and instruments. The 20dB setting provides a clean boost for soft instruments and vocals. When using with louder instruments like electric guitars, use the 12dB setting to avoid overloading the preamp or I/O. dBooster's Class A input stage delivers a clean boost with ultra-low noise and distortion. The dBooster's low impedance output simplifies everything from studio to live stage, delivering superior headroom and vintage-style sound with minimal gain loss, even over long cable runs. dBooster produces particularly excellent results when used with Royer Labs ribbon microphones such as the R-121, R-10, and SF-12. It works great not only with ribbon microphones, but also with dynamic microphones. Every dBooster is assembled in the USA and shipped from Royer Labs headquarters in Burbank, California.
