The JHS Pedals Summing Amp blends two inputs into one output. The Edge (U2) used this technique in the '80s to create his own delay sounds. By placing a quarter-note delay and a do tted-eighth delay in parallel before summing, the effect's two delays are distinct and avoid the "delay-on-delay" effect. This can also be used with overdrive, where the pedals are placed in parallel rather than boosting the pedal connected after them as in a series configuration.
