Recorded only two weeks before Rotondi's unexpected passing, the album captures the musical chemistry developed over decades of performing together, beginning in New York during the 1990s and continuing through their years teaching at the Jazz Institute in Graz, Austria. Following a successful residency at Vienna's legendary Jazzland club with bassist Danny Ziemann and drummer Mario Gonzi, the quartet entered the studio to record this memorable collection of jazz standards and original material. Their shared musical history shines throughout each performance, reflecting years of artistic collaboration, mutual respect, and expressive improvisation.
