This is an intriguing fabric from The0ry, made in Italy...very rustic/bohemian! The most surprising thing about this fabric is that it is SILK, because it is as heavy as a scuba, with a pebble-y, crepey texture, very stretchy with 70% stretch in both directions. The texture is similar to a raw silk, but this is a knit. It is dense and opaque with a more firm drape, and could be used for any project that would use a heavier scuba/neoprene. I imagine it would be great for dyeing too, and would make a fabulous arty jacket, coat, dress, etc. Both sides look the same. It does not fray or curl.
