Gary L. Shaffer This 1966 stone lithograph is by New York/San Francisco Abstract Expressionist artist Gary Lee Shaffer (1936-2001). Shaffer trained with Hans Hofmann in the late 19 50s and became an influential member of the Printmakers Workshop in Manhattan. His works are in the permanent collection of the Art Institute of Chicago and the Detroit Institute of Arts.
