This is a beautiful Italian chevron stripe brocade (3.75" repeat) that is much more beautiful in real life! It has a yarn dyed weave and 10% vertical stretch. It could be used in either direction as it is stable but if you want make use of the stretch, you will have to cut your garment across the grain. The gorgeous colors include black and ultramarine blues, with a subtle lurex fiber that adds a bit of sparkle for a more festive look (PANTONE 19-3951, etc.). It is a tightly-woven medium suiting weight with body in the drape, and the reverse is more of a solid black although the blue chevron shows a bit.
