The Super Black is a pedal that captures the tone of a blackface amp made between 1963 and 1968. By connecting it directly to the amp's return jack, you can output the sound of a blackface amp's signal path as is. It can be set to a wide range of sounds, from punchy, mid-scooped clean to beautiful amp-like breakup to a drive tone that can be used for rock. Two additional mini switches allow you to adjust the amount of bass and compression, faithfully reproducing the individual differences between blackface amp models and sizes. In addition, we've added the SweetHoney Overdrive circuit, a best-selling booster in the front stage. The Blackface and Sweet Honey OD are a magical combination. Each has its own independent ON/OFF switch, volume, and drive knobs, so you can also use just the Sweet Honey circuit.
