The one shots break down into 41 kicks, 42 snares, 39 hats, 24 fills, 21 toms, 22 percussion and 16 cymbals. Most breaks come dry and wet, so you can drop in the roomy version or the tight one without reaching for a reverb. Tape First, Then Sculpted Every sound got pushed hard through a vintage Pioneer reel to reel, then carved with EQ for a huge low end that still keeps the mic's dark, mid forward character. From there Tamuz pitched things up and down, chopped, sliced and ran them through analog gear and plugins. The textures shift, but the 664 personality never leaves.
