COMPADRE controls dynamics with two analog compression effects: studio-level smooth, clear compression and vintage-style squeezing. Next, the Boost switch adds a clean or dirty boo st with selectable EQ shapes. This allows you to adjust the dynamic response of the signal sent to your amplifier or effects pedal to achieve the best possible sound. Pickups, tubes, capacitors, speaker cabinets - there's no end to equipment upgrades. COMPADRE may be the key to achieving the goals you have been pursuing. ■Easy and flexible COMPADRE provides all the tone shaping functions you need at the front end of your signal chain. The auto-makeup and auto-threshold design means you can control the dynamics simply by setting the COMPRESSION knob. The wide range of tone shaping functions also makes it easy to achieve the settings you want. ■Two different analog compression circuits Choose from two compression circuits with unique characters. Studio Mode: Smooth, beautifully articulate compression from a vintage studio rack. Squeeze mode: Hard, deep, sustained compression found in classical guitar pedals. ■Clean and dirty boost that hits the sweet spot It features two different analog boost circuits: clean and dirty boost. Sometimes the dirty boost gives off the soft clipping characteristics of a TS type overdrive pedal. In addition, the three boost EQs can be switched to suit different guitar and amp combinations. ■Extended control: Connect an expression pedal to control the VCA volume. The Strymon MiniSwitch Plus lets you save and recall your favorite settings.
