From a NY designer, this is a lovely lace-look brocade, an opaque dress/suiting weight with body in the drape. The flowery lace is woven-in (not printed) and is textured so that it feels and looks like a black lace overlay with taupe in the background (PANTONE 13-1008-ish)... The colors reverse on the opposite side but the texture is more flat.
