The Compressor, which delivers the high-level compression that only Empress Effects can achieve, has been updated to MKII. Inspired by the legendary Urei 1176 compressor/limiter, the sound remains the same, but it's now more compact and boasts new features. It packs controls previously only found on high-end studio compressors into a pedal-sized unit, including input/gain reduction level LED meters, independent attack and release controls, parallel compression with a MIX knob, and external sidechaining. The MKII also features a Tilt tone EQ control and an adjustable sidechain high-pass filter on the comp detection circuit. Compared to conventional compressor pedals that add color or change the sound too much, this pedal simply achieves overwhelmingly high-level sound creation. The Compressor MKII offers complete control over musical expression and delicate touch, and delivers stunning sound control, making it an essential companion for any player.
