The 908 has its roots in those sticks, but it speaks a similar language, just a little differently. It has a more tactile feel, a quicker response, and so on. Throughout my experience, I fell in love with the VATER barrel tips. They bring out a sharp, crisp sound from the ride cymbal, and I get the same kind of sound I want from my drum set. I often visualize drumming like hammering nails, and these sticks really bring that to life in my hands. "908" is me. It's my birthday and the area code where I'm from.
