The Lennox 69M79 is a heavy-duty, 1 HP direct drive blower motor engineered for high-static residential and light commercial furnace applications. Operating at 115V single-phase power, this Permanent Split Capacitor (PSC) motor delivers a reliable 1075 RPM across 4 speed taps, allowing for precise airflow balancing during both heating and cooling cycles. As a direct OEM replacement for 69M7901 and Nidec K55HXLDY-9962, it features a standard 48-frame diameter (5.63 inches) and is designed for horizontal mounting with hub rings. The 1/2-inch x 2.2-inch shaft provides a secure match for most standard blower wheels, ensuring efficient torque transfer and reduced vibration. Built for the rigors of multi-speed operation, the 69M79 furnace motor pulls 11.0 Amps at full load and requires a 40 MFD 370 VAC capacitor for proper startup and run performance. Its CWLE (Clockwise Lead End) rotation and ball-bearing design make it a preferred choice for contractors replacing failing motors in Lennox EL195 and EL280 series units. Whether addressing a seized bearing or a burnt winding, this 1 HP HVAC motor provides the mechanical strength needed to maintain consistent static pressure and system efficiency. Key Benefits: Multi-Speed Versatility: Four distinct speed taps allow for customized CFM settings to match specific ductwork requirements and seasonal demand. Direct OEM Fit: Drop-in replacement for Lennox 69M7901 and Emerson/Nidec K55HXLDY-9962, minimizing field modifications. Industrial-Grade Build: 48Y frame with ball bearings ensures stability and performance under high-demand thermal cycles. Optimized Performance: Engineered to maintain 1075 RPM at 11.5 Amps, providing the necessary lift for large-scale residential blowers. Common Questions: Which capacitor is required for the 69M79? This motor requires a 40 MFD / 370V run capacitor. Using an incorrect rating can cause overheating or motor failure. Does this motor replace the Nidec K55HXLDY-9962? Yes, the 69M79 is the official Lennox replacement for that specific Nidec/Emerson model number. What is the rotation of this blower motor? The rotation is CWLE (Clockwise facing the Lead End / opposite the shaft). Always verify rotation against your existing blower wheel before installation.
